Case Studies
Maxey Moverley is a leading UK based specialist electronics repair business and they already had substantial facilities in place for managing health and safety. However, they were concerned about two key areas, firstly that they were not up-to-date with current legislation and secondly at the relative lack of awareness about health and safety amongst employees.
Imagemode senior consultant Stephen Tubb was appointed to assist Maxey Moverley to address these important areas. Stephen carried out a full health and safety audit and then implemented a plan of action including staff training.
Lawrence Croft, director at Maxey Moverley comments "We had used a common sense approach to managing the health and safety but realised that with the swift growth of our business we should seek some professional advice. The initial meeting with Stephen proved that although we were compliant in a lot of areas, we still had gaps, especially with documentation and staff safety training.”
Maxey Moverley worked together with Stephen and within a short and relatively painless period, had up-to-date documented risk assessments and a programme for improvements. Stephen also assisted Maxey Moverley in producing a health and safety policy that reflects the staff, the business risks and a commitment to ongoing safety. Stephen developed and delivered a health and safety training program that raised the awareness amongst staff.
Lawrence continues “I am pleased with the improvements we have made with Stephen’s help. We have reduced risks and I feel people are more focussed and responsible and that safety is now not a separate issue, but integrated into our day-to-day running."
Stephen Tubb comments “It was a pleasure working with Maxey Moverley, through their own efforts they were 90% on the way to full health and safety compliance, with our help they are now fully compliant and have the means to maintain their status”
